Fall Frights

This event will be held at the Grey Snow Eagle House (335567 E 740 RD, Perkins, OK 74059) Sunday, October 26th from 1:00-4:00CST and will feature interactive booths, trunk or treats, ambassador encounters,  self guided tours of the eagle aviary, and access to our Welcome and Education Center (WEC).

TICKETS WILL GO ON SALE OCT. 4TH AT 12:00PM CENTRAL TIME.

Things to know:
  1. This is a Fall Festival style event so guests are free to come and go as needed.
  2. Children five and under get in free but please “purchase” a free ticket for them so we can keep track of attendee numbers.
  3. All tickets are sold online. No tickets will be sold at the door.
  4. Tickets are available at the bottom of the page that says “order received.” They are also emailed to the email address you provided on checkout. If you do not see them, check your spam folders.
  5. Tickets are limited and once they sell out, they will be gone. There are no refunds on ticket sales unless the event has to be cancelled due to weather safety. 
  6. There will be a check-in table in the WEC for you to check in with your ticket(s). You will receive a wrist band and goodie bag when you check-in.
  7. Gates will open at 1:00 to begin letting people into the facility! As we will be setting up booths while also caring for our raptors, we cannot let people in early.
  8. The event and access to the grounds will end at 4:00 so we can shut down the facility.
  9. There is a water fountain in the new Welcome Center  so you can refill your water bottles. There will be a limited number of water bottles for sale.
  10. The content for the booths will be at an elementary age level but everyone is welcome to enjoy the fun and learn about birds!
  11. The avian encounters will occur around the grounds at specific times so that visitors can meet our ambassadors on the glove up close!
  12. There will be ~12 booths/trunk or treats spread out around the facility (indoors and outdoors) with various activities like measuring your wingspan, making a bird mask, and dissecting an owl pellet. Since this is a Halloween style event, we will be giving out candy.
  13. An email will be sent out to all ticket holders prior to the event with last minute updates.

Past Fall Frights Highlights!

Fall Frights is an annual event hosted during the month of October to celebrate Migratory Bird Day with a Halloween theme. Over 100 visitors participated in Fall Frights 2025 where they experienced avian ambassador meet-and-greets, interactive booths, trunk-or-treats, and more! While Fall Frights 2025 has concluded, we look forward to seeing you in 2026.

A huge thank-you to our amazing GSEH volunteers as we couldn’t have offered so many fun, hands-on activities without you! Our GSEH staff was also pivotal in planning the event with new activities and in a new fall festival format! Finally, special thanks to the LoneTree family for sharing their incredible Halloween decorations and taking our theme to the next level.
