Andromeda grew up in Owasso, Oklahoma and developed a deep appreciation for birds in
8th grade, when her science teacher had a month-long birdwatching section in the coursework. After a few years, she began birding recreationally, which eventually led to her realizing she would love to have a career working with birds, as well as being able to educate the public about nature. In the fall of 2019, Andromeda moved to Stillwater and began attending Oklahoma State University, pursuing a B.S. in Zoology (and was also a member of the Cowboy Marching Band Color Guard for three years.) She discovered the Grey Snow Eagle House through an online job listing and began working in May of 2023. She is on-track to graduate in the fall of 2023, where she will continue working at GSEH while she lives in Perkins with her boyfriend and their two parakeets. Her favorite animal is penguins, specifically the Little Blue Penguin.
Mission: The Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma’s Grey Snow Eagle House strives to be the leader in eagle conservation. Through rehabilitation, education, research, and providing sanctuary to permanently injured eagles, we continue to preserve this culturally important species for future generations.
