Kerstin grew up in San Diego, California. She loves many different animals, big and small,
but her passion for birds started at a parrot rescue, putting over 2000 hours into care and public outreach. She graduated from Moorpark College with a degree in Exotic Animal Training and Management in 2016 and has moved across the country from Arizona to Florida to Ohio and then finally to Oklahoma in the pursuit of working with birds. After Summer 2021, she will graduate from Oregon State University with a bachelor’s in Fisheries and Wildlife. Her favorite aspect of her career path is connecting people to caring for wildlife.
